Happy New Year. Ahem, yip I'm very late. Why. I hear you ask. Simply, PC problems, had arisen, and sorting them out took along time. You see formatting my hard drive, WITHOUT writing down the access passwords for the site, was not the brightest thing to do.
Since its nearly the end of January, I am going to have a spring clean. And because, the forum failed to get anything other than a large amount of advert/spam traffic, it is going the way of the dodo. Any ideas for a replacement segment, forward them to eric@ runner-beans. co. uk (remove excess spaces)

Had a bit of an update all round. Updated local runs, pictures, links bar now includes the forums (formally mentioned as a Bulletin Board), and the 2 blogs have been updated to include the Great North Run

Updated the local run section.

As of today, I am opening a new section. The section being for photos taken by anyone. They do not have to be of running, or even exercise, but they do have to be by you and not stolen. Please send any photos to eric @ runner-beans. co .uk
I have broken up the address to prevent auto address hunting bots finding my email address and spamming me beyond belief.

I am very dissappointed in you all.. No one had came to this lovely boring bulletin board, and even registered with it. If no one registers with it, and leaves me feedback, how can I hope to improve it (wont take much I can tell you)

Right, time for fun and to see if this has worked. I have created a bulletin board, follow the link here. BULLETIN BOARD . Please tell me what you think. Obviously, colour scheme and design isnt there yet, since I have just set it up. But more in the lines of what topics do we need etc. Andy, Lui, get your thinking caps on and register please.

Updated the local runs to include Darlington 10km, on the 13th of August. I am also in the middle of trying to include a bulletin board for us, and also a feedback form, so any can comment direct from the web site. However, it isnt proving to be as easy as it sounds, there is alot of hidden server tweaking, I didnt know of. Hopefully I will not give up, and success will be mine.

I'm adding a small area to allow people to donate to the upkeep of this web page, if they decide they wish to. Im just not sure where to put the actual link. It will look a little like this, image will change, when I get my own, but for the mean time I have "borrowed one". Click it and see it work.

Updated the runs to include Bishop Auckland 10km, bloody good run. Get your arses there. Ive been told its a race that runners do, thats goes towards their world rankings. Im not sure of the truth behind it, but there you go.

OOppps, I updated Dreamweaver and allowed it to update the pages to fix an IE 6 problem, and now none of the flash icons appear anymore, and I cant work out what I have done. Navigation is now restricted, please keep using the homepage, for the place to access basic links. You will probably have to click the back button to keep getting them. Hopefully it will be fixed in a few days.

Updated the local runs section, I should have done it well before now, but lost the details, sorry Andy.

An injury to Eric's back means he won't be fit enough to train, or run for a few weeks, this means he is missing the Beamish Race this year, however he hopes to be there for moral support for those Runner Beans who do. Anthony is running in his place.

We now have a new pic to show it IS a RUNNING CLUB, and not a gardening site. Lets play guess who.

Raby Castle - How we enjoyed running 10km, up very long hills with gale force 10 fighting us against every step we took. Saying that we all seemed to enjoy it, and I have already proudly worn the t-shirt. Anyone who fancies checking out the results, here is the link Raby Castle Results.
Next race coming up is the Beamish 10km, in 4 weeks, however Andy has informed me that there are more local ones, which he will forward details at a later time.

Im quite upset, no one has taken me up on my offer of sending me a pic for the main image of the page. Come on stop hiding, get your creative juices flowing (cause i dont have any), and get the pics sent to me.

Today I was told this site looked more like a gardening web page, with the colour green and bushes in the picture. I have to agree it DOESNT look like a page for runners.
I am going to have to admit it, I made a slight mistake in design.
So, I am throwing it open, and inviting you all to send me pictures that will replace the bridge, and show what this site is all about, basically a running club. Sizes of the pictures are not important, but if any were posted to me, in 380x100 dimensions, I would be very grateful. So come on, grab your cameras, take some photos, and send them to me. eric @ runner-beans.co.uk.
